Microsoft Azure The Microsoft Azure Service Bus allows applications running on Azure premises or off premises devices to communicate with Azure. This helps to build scalable and reliable applications in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). The Azure service bus supports four different types of communication mechanisms:
Azure Search In 2008 Microsoft rolled out the Azure platform with a cloud based component code-named project Red Dog. The years leading up to 2013 were spent developing the Azure framework within the scope of a Microsoft environment. In 2013 Microsoft issued a general announcement announcing IaaS and detailing new features of Azure, including the new Azure Search.
Microsoft Azure Microsoft Azure uses a specialized operating system, called Microsoft Azure, to run its "fabric layer": a cluster hosted at Microsoft's data centers that manages computing and storage resources of the computers and provisions the resources (or a subset of them) to applications running on top of Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Azure has been described as a "cloud layer" on top of a number of Windows Server systems, which use Windows Server 2008 and a customized version of Hyper-V, known as the Microsoft Azure Hypervisor to provide virtualization of services.

Azure will provide 2D hardware acceleration on top of 3D graphics backends. Firefox began using Azure for Cairo in 2012.
Microsoft Azure Web Sites Microsoft Azure Web Sites is implemented as websites that are dynamically created on-demand on servers running Windows Server 2012 and IIS 8.0. When a client posts a request to a web site, Microsoft Azure Web Sites dynamically provisions the site on one of the Azure virtual machines pointing it at content stored in Azure Storage containers. The Azure Virtual Machines are deployed in groups called "Stamps", which may contain hundreds of such machines. Microsoft deploys these stamps in its Azure data centers across the world, and adds more stamps as demand grows.
Azure Power On October 12, 2016, Azure Power launched an Initial Public Offering (IPO), enabling the first listing of Indian energy assets on the New York Stock Exchange. With this, Azure Power also became the first renewable energy company to IPO in the US since August 2015. Azure Power tied-up approximately US$ 161 million as part of its pre-IPO, initial public offering and concurrent private placement. The majority of the proceeds were used to continue development of solar power plants in India.
