Course Introduction

Develop a Career in Engineering Project Management. Master the skills required to lead large engineering projects Managing Major Engineering Projects Specialization The Capstone project is the culmination of the Specialization and the major engineering project management course. You will have the opportunity to put your knowledge to work in a real-world scenario concerning the completion of a major engineering project. The Capstone project will help you put your skills to work in a real-world project, as you will approach the project in a fluid and realistic manner. In the Capstone project, you will first analyze the project plan, which will give you the opportunity to choose the project method and method of execution that is most suitable for your project. To successfully complete the Capstone, you’ll need to access your project’s data, which will be provided to you through the course lectures. Then, you will need to create a Data Warehouse. In doing so, you’ll use the free 3D modeling software SketchUp and the free cross-platform development tools XCode and XCodeStudio. You will create a workspace, which will house all of the tools required to complete the Capstone. In turn, you will create a shared database, which will house all of the data needed to complete the Capstone.
